We had our wedding here in March 2025. It was so lovely, both inside and out as the grounds are stunning. ||The food was great and the staff are all so helpful and friendly. The bridal suite is a really lovely room and breakfast was delicious. Our guests all had a wonderful time.

This place is a hidden gem!We didn’t actually search around for a venue, it was more a happy accident.We found Mulberry House when we booked it as a hotel stay the night before our friends wedding nearby. Whilst having breakfast in the garden room overlooking the stunning grounds, we got chatting to Sammy who invited us for a quick tour. We fell in love with it there and then and a week later we booked our wedding there!The entire team are amazing, they were unbelievably accommodating to our requests (even with a guest swap the day before the wedding!) They really go the extra mile for anything you need. The kitchen team are amazing with dietary requirements, they catered for nut allergies, coeliac, lactose intolerance and vegetarians throughout our day. From canapés, to wedding breakfast, to evening buffet!It didn’t matter what staff member we spoke to, whether is was the wedding team, the catering/bar team, the reception team, or even the night porter! Everyone one was so polite and would stop everything to help you with anything you needed.The venue itself is so well looked after, impeccably clean and tidy, immaculate grounds and the new renovation works are absolutely stunning, yet the venue still has a rustic charm to it. Not to mention all of the rooms smell amazing!!We had so many compliments from our guests on the beautiful venue, lovely staff, the amazing food and the luxurious accommodation. Our wedding was absolutely perfect, we couldn’t have had a better time, which would not have been possible if it wasn’t for the tireless efforts of the fantastic Mulberry House team.We’ll definitely be back for afternoon tea or maybe a romantic night away! We love it there so much!

Our wedding at Mulberry House on Monday 17th February was simply epic.||Essex has an abundance of wedding venues, but, not many offer the service that Mulberry House do. We had a smaller wedding of just 40 day time guests and a lot of venues have much higher minimum numbers. Whilst this is what initially attracted us to Mulberry House; it wasn't as simple as that! ||We also wanted very informal dining options. So many venues want to enforce a 3 course formal dinner or a buffet. Neither option appealed to us. ||However at mulberry house, they offered a perfect solution. BBQ served on platters. No queuing for food, everything brought to the table. ||They also have a food shack option which, we used for our evening food; opting for grilled ham and cheese toasties with loaded fries.||Basically, Mulberry House was the absolute perfect venue for us. Not only is it absolutely stunning and the food incredible; the team is just outstanding.||It is no wonder they have won Essex wedding venue of the year the last 3 years in a row.||It is such a rarity to find a company where every single staff member has the most perfect attitude. From cleaning staff and bar staff to the events team, wedding co-ordinators and reception staff - each and every one of them only wants you to have the best day of your lives. And we did ||Nothing was too much trouble, last minute adjustments were taken care of without issue, things you wouldn't even think to mention were done (rearranging our aisle decor to reuse in the wedding breakfast room, moving our wedding cards and gifts and setting them out beautifully in our room. Bringing the evening food into our room as we didn't manage to get any (along with a plate of wedding cake!) ||They are honestly amazing at mulberry house and cannot do enough for you. It was the most perfect day and a lot of that was to do with the wonderful staff.||Special shout of thanks go to Sammy and Sammy, vas, Claire and the lovely Harley ❤️

21.02.2025 - Our Wedding Day.I don’t even know where to start. Mulberry House and the team that run it literally made my dreams come true. From booking with Chloe and Nicola, Claire and Jo on the day all way to Angela, Jackie and the lovely reception team these people are out of this world.The venue is absolutely stunning, the renovations have improved on something that was already perfect - I didn't even think that was possible.The food was amazing - canapés to the wedding breakfast.The day ran like clockwork and that’s down to the people there.I cannot thank everyone enough - there aren’t enough words to describe how wonderfully you our day simply perfect. x

I went here for afternoon tea. I can't eat gluten or dairy and they were more than happy to cater for me. The food and tea was amazing and I will definitely be going back!

An amazing venue. A really friendly bunch of people work there. Location beautiful, with plenty of parking. We had the extra special afternoon tea with a glass of prosecco, and there was loads of delicious food. Service excellent. Would I go again, definitely. Thank you so much..

Christmas party, food was lovely as was the service. I dos not stay overnight so cannot comment on the rooms, so just have average score.

We went here for a meal just before Christmas and it was so festive and pretty! The food was amazing, very big portions which were really tasty. The staff were extremely attentive and the service was really fast!

Wonderful Christmas Afternoon Tea, the garden room was beautifully decorated and the Tea was fabulous made even more perfect by the superb attention paid by the staff. Thank you to Jackie, Sammy and Summer for making our visit perfect. Food & drinks: Superb

We had our wedding at Mulberry House in October this year, everything from start to finish was amazing. The venue is stunning, the food was incredible, but it is the people that really make Mulberry House so special. The whole team could not be more accommodating, from helping to plan the running of the day in the lead up, to setting up basically everything in the morning and then supporting us with anything we needed on the day. We couldn’t have had a better experience, and all their efforts allowed us to relax, be in the moment and enjoy our special day. Special thanks to Claire, Jo, Chloe and Georgia for all their help.

Best Afternoon Tea Around My family and I have had afternoon tea on a few occasions at this wonderful venue and have been looked after exeptionally from start to finish. Nothing was too much trouble, the sandwiches cakes and scones were excellent, the tea didn't stop flowing and they even provided boxes to take home what we couldn't manage! Recently I had to canel a booking due to very sad circumstances and Kim on reception went out of her way to help me. I cannot thank her enough and I am so very grateful.

We had afternoon tea for a surprise birthday. The staff were great at keeping the secret and were very accommodating. The service was excellent and the food was fantastic. I would definitely recommend!

The food was very tasty. I loved the home made jam, I would recommend a try. The lady on reception was bubbly and friendly. Having a young child that needs breast feeding can be very restrictive. I don't like to breastfeed on the toilet. When I asked if they had somewhere more private the lady allowed me to use the best room in the house unenterupted. It made my experience sublime.

A Magical Mulberry House - a Stunning Wedding Venue for all Seasons We recently got married at Mulberry House on Sunday 3rd November 2024 and it was truly the most magical and memorable day, which we will both cherish in our hearts forever.
The stunning and picturesque grounds are beautiful and truly showcased an amazing wedding venue.
Every member of staff were so friendly, kind and accommodated our needs. This, in turn, made everyone feel relaxed and happy on our wedding day and made it a more memorable experience. We would both like to say a huge thank you to the Mulberry House Dream Team of Georgia and Chloe, the event organisers, Claire and Jo, who ensured that the whole day ran smoothly with an exceptional eye for detail and great customer service as they looked after both us and our wedding guests. We both did not want the day to end as it was so perfect. Also a special thank you needs to go to the Mulberry House Suppliers - TJ Florist, Lisa at Cake Cuisine, Jo at J. Hughes Wedding Stationery and Gail at Bridal Hair & Makeup. A big thank you also to Mark at Willow and Lace Photography. Their dedicated and professional efforts were greatly appreciated in showcasing our wedding day and making a truly magical and perfect day.
Everyone was impressed with the wedding breakfast. The food was delicious and made with quality ingredients.
The honeymoon suite was comfortable and provided everything and we appreciated the bottle of prosecco on ice and the freshly cut wedding cake provided in our room. The breakfast the following morning was very enjoyable.
We both cannot recommend Mulberry House enough. Excellent venue, exceptional service and great people. It felt like one big family who welcomed us wholeheartedly. Thank you for making our day so special and perfect and we will definitely be visiting again soon for an Afternoon Tea. Steve & Sharon
